To Read List for Two Months

Another boredom, another post!

Adeh. Boringnya hidup tanpa task at work ni. Novel plak dah abeh baca. Asek dok praktis ke hulu and ke hilir but never really got the chance to utilize it with real work. So sad.

Enough about that. Aku pon xmau remain a negative soul and infect my reader with my negative energy. Haha. Yes I’m in distress at work but life move forward in something else. Sekarang ni memang aku kurang gemar buang masa. Even nongkrong depan TV I consider as buang masa. So that’s why saya adopt the new hobby which is reading.

One thing came to mind. What’s next on my reading list? Actually since tak berduit sekarang ni I cannot afford to buy any new novel. Maybe just borrow from my friends. I had my eyes on several books already. Here it goes:

Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird – A friend gonna let me borrow on Thurday. Look forward to it since it is one of the most highly acclaimed novels of all time.

Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy- Saw best buy deal kat Kinokuniya. Two books only cost RM49.90. Must buy immediately after dapat gaji.

Kathryn Stockett’s The Help – One of the best novel in recent year. Must buy and on the list to read in near future.

Randy Pausch’s The Last lecture – A friend recommended this. Not a novel but actually a lecture transcript which supposedly very inspiring. Instead of buying, maybe I go for something economic like borrow from the library. Haha

Cormac Mccarthy’s The Road – Any Mccarthy’s novel would do but I choose to find this book first. Xtau kenape. Maybe for the obvious reason, Pulitzer baby!!

So hopefully I’ll be reading all these books in the next 2 months. I will do the review once I finish each of these. So far, I love my new hobby but I just hope the books don’t cost so damn much.

First Novel dah Abeh Baca Alredi!!

Another day, another post!

Hello. I am back after hasn’t been active lately. Aiyo. Apparently I’ve replaced my therapy from writing a blog to reading. Haha. But I still miss the excitement of writing. So an update. Aku dah perabih my first novel. Not actually the first la but the first after a long time. The last novel I read was The Pearl time SPM literature class dulu.Haha. I still remember the main character name was Juana. Cait.

So further on, not so while ago I posted an entry about how I’m starting a hobby which is reading And I chose The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry to kickstart this ambitious hobby. And boy, how I love reading now. Sekarang ni I visit the book store frequently. Look for books, read a few chapter if can in the store if the book is not wrapped. Heheh. After a week of reading, abes sudah aih..

So I promised the review for The Lace Reader once I finished it so here it goes. I make it short so I wont bore you. Any further, READ IT!! Highly recommended by me. Just a side note, it was also listed on NY Times Bestseller even though the author is fairly unknown. Show you how good the book is without the need of an established name.

Review :

Love the Rafferty character. He is the heroic character that comes in flaw. Unfortunately it wasn’t him who saves the day. In fact, he’s wrong most of the time. Heroic loser may I say. That is what made him so human and likeable in the whole chapter. And the journey of Towner a.k.a. Sophya in rekindling her memories and her own self make this book persists a puzzle that all come back in pieces at the end. The whole reading was surrounded by haunting mysteries. And look out for several goose bump moments and twists.

Misi Baru di Bulan Baik Ni

Another new day, another post.

Arini I’ve made two wise decision. I don’t know how wise the decisions are but I know it’s somewhat beneficial to me.

One, let me story dulu how my career goes sekarang ni. I have been assigned to a team from a start.This team actually responsible for steering the migration of this certain file transfer manager called MIM. Basically it is a crucial body within our department. I was given with a few information gathering task at the beginning. During that time, I was also busy with my training. So most of the time I was still on the honeymoon phase or just plain busy with training. Hence, I wasn’t a 100% guy to the team. Now I think my team lead somehow seeing me as incompetent, god forbid. Sekarang for the most time just dibagi keje2 tengok. Adeh. My day round the clock basically just well-look at the clock waiting for time to go back home or for any task assigned to me. Currently,NADA..I admit this round the clock of nothing depresses me.Therefore,I decide to steer my own career from now on. Instead of waiting for task, maybe I should just ask for work or at least ask if I can help with anything.

My first novel in a long time

Two, I notice sekarang ni banyak masa terbuang with nothing. And otak jadi makin lembab. Orang kata kalo nak keep the brain active, opt for reading. Therefore, I want to make reading as my new hobby. It’s not like I have any other hobby.DUH. I have found this great place where books sold at very cheap prices. I am not kidding. Very cheap. I will do a special post for this great place soon. For now, introducing my first book I have purchased for my new hobby. The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry. It was between this or Robert Harris’s Fatherland. But I figured better start with a light reading first. Nanti, my brain cannot accept and say,’Whoa,too fast!’ and give up. Don’t want that circumstance. So my goal now is to finish this book and i will be eager to share with you guys the review that i find from reading it in the future post. No worry. And there won't be any giveaways either..heheh. Also, introducing the new footer labels, books and hobby. Yay!!
