Phuket Holiday - Part 3

Sesudah sampai ke hotel ( Deevana Resort and Spa) after a hell of a cab ride, we were welcomed by the bellboys and cold towels. We truly appreciate it because after a tiring flight, the long immigration queue and a hot cab ride, a dab of cold face towel was kind of nice. Then check in to our rooms. The girls got the room just next to ours. We got the room in the garden wing. The room was kinda old looking but at least it's within a garden. It is much to my preference rather than having a room in a condo or something like that. The room was pretty much basic and quite near to the garden wing's pool. The hotel had two pool with the other being in the spa wing.

@ lobby Deevana Patong. Muka aku paling keletihan.

Reception Deevana. First impression of this hotel, macam 5 stars. Kena tunggu tengok bilik dulu. Huhu

That's our room. In front got a lot of trees and nice garden surrounding.

Our room. Basic hotel jek. Ok la tuk sleep.

The nearby pool. Quite huge for a secondary pool!

Begambo kat hotel nyer garden.

Bagambor ngan tiang pon aku nak. Haha

Rupa dalam bilik standard. Biasa jek. Old looking. Tapi TV okay coz banyak channel walaupon TV kecik and buroks.

After freshen up a little , baring-baring sikit and solat, thought it's nice to take a walk around town. Maybe grab dinner as well and carik stok maggi or something kat Patong town. Also, sunset. Yes, i'm a corny guy. Like to see sunset and sunset. Hahah. The streets sungguh happening. Sungguh berbeza daripada what my friend told me. Banyak massage parlor and they seemed clean. Offer Thai Massage for 200 bhat. Ok ler tu. Restoran seafood pon banyak. Singgah sat kat 7 eleven beli air. Yerp. This is one thing i like about Thailand. They have very tasty and fragrant teh ais. Aku beli air melon. Sedap and wangi. Heheh.

Memang ade roper pelancong asing ngan map and beg bagai

Pastu g jejalan kedai2 ole2. Alamak. Agak mahal le kalo nak beli ole2 kat Phuket ni. Tshirt biasa pon paling murah 150bhat. And design pon boring-boring. Size pon cam x standard. Size M macam size S. Size L macam size Xl. Kejadah? Ntahler. Pelik sikit ngan Thailand ni. Banyaknya jual tshirt bodo like knockoff Billabong, Nike, Adidas etc. Dahler buroks. Sape ntah yang nak beli. Huhu. It's official. Thailand is not a great place to buy ole2. Huhu. Ade gak tawar menawar and the girls bought few things. Most penjual orang bangla. Hmm. Even in Thailand yar.

Tshirt size L yang gedabak besornya. Size M lak size cam S. Xde kualitas! Dahler mahal.

Nice artwork on the street. I believe the materials are from spare parts motor.

Another nice tribute artwork of my favorite movie, Alien! Rowr!!

Dah tu kami carik booth yang jual tour lak. This is for the following day. Tanya first booth for elephant & white water rafting cost about 2000 bhat. Mahai. Mintak kurang pon dapat 1700 bhat jek. Tanya a different booth yang also sell the same tour, cost only 1300bhat. The booth was manned by this one hot chick which turned out to be a ladyboy, so my friend told. Hahah. Aku dah syok baru tau. Hikshiks.

Then jalan-jalan lagi sampai ler kat area Bangla Road. The area seems to be quite normal and x seteruk what my friend had told. Kami terus ke pantai Patong tuk tengok sunset. Sonok amek gambor jek. Lompat sana, posing sini. Adeh.

Satu, dua, lompat! Yang badan paling ringan tu tinggi giler lompat. Ahaks.

Sunset @ Patong Beach. Nice izzit..Tapi area x seromantik kat Bali coz belakang ade Bangla Road. Lubuk maksiat!

Then lalu balik kat Bangla Road. Makin meriah kalo malam ni. Bar sume dah start pasang lagu kuat2 and awek2 seksi start streetwalking. Haha. But it was still normal to me. Strip club pon melambak kat area sini. Aku ditarik but promoter for strip clubs. HAha. Still normal for me. Kalo kat Bukit Bintang aku ditarik by massage parlor nyer promoter, kat sini kena tarik by strip club laks. Muka skematik and cam ustad like this pon kena tarik. HAhah

Salah satu strip joint kat Bangla Road. Husband Day Care gamaknya. Hahah. Ade bran?

Begambor kat Bangla Road. Bar and strip joints keliling. Huhu. Sape yang datang holiday sini elokler jangan bawak anak2 lalu sini. Strip pole pon open. Kejadah?

Sesudah cuci mata, kami sambung bejalan ke Jungceylon Mall lak which is just across the street og Bangla. Quite like a normal mall. Macam The Curve. JUmpa lak kedai jual ole2 yang murah. Who knew kedai kat soping complex yang standard jual lagi murah daripada kedai2 bodoh tepi jalan. Ape lagi. Soping ler sikit2. Pastu dah terlanjur kat situ, jalan2 le window soping. And singgah Carrefour situ beli maggi. Hmm..Agak susah nak carik makanan halal kat sini. Tapi dapat ler stock up for 5 days kat sini. Beli biskut, megi n roti. Letih kaki weyh cari makanan halal. Sampai Carrefour tu nak tutup kami soping situ.

But lupa lak nak cite. Before soping kat Carrefour tu, kami g pasar malam kat sebelah Jungceylon belah belakang. Dekat depan tempat Muay Thai tu. Hmm.. Sama gak tadak makanan halal sangat. Ade 2 je penjual muslim. Satu jual ayam goeng yang dah nak katup, satu lagi jual pancake. Kami pekena pancake ajela. Tapi truth is kat Krabi nyer pancake lagi best. Huhuh. Tapi tuk alas perut ok la. Aku x beli but my friends did. Aku tumpang makan diaorg punya jek. Hahah. Aku not much hungry sgt time tu for sweet pancake.

Sesi poyo sesorang depan Jungceylon Mall..

Pasar malam next to Jungceylon. Banyak babi goreng, satay babi, babi lenyek, sushi babi and kepala babi rebus pon ade. Ergkk!

And letih gak aku g sana sini carik wifi tuk update status kat my girlfriend and family. Ngan enset wat hal. LAst-last curik wifi kat kedai aiskrim kat Jungceylon tu gak . Heheh. Dapat le aku update status slamat sampai and all. Then a long walk balik hotel balik ngan stok2 megi. Sesampai, depan hotel ade gerai jual pancake gak. Aku beli pancake choc banana. 50 bhat. Mahai na..HUhuhu. Same thing could get 35bhat kat krabi. HUhu. Memang meletihkan hari tu. Flight, airport, long walk..Memang nyenyak ler tido malam tu. ZZZzz.. More in my next post.

Phuket Holiday - Part 2

So the day finally came. I was dreading for the trip as I was having a not so good time at work. I just resigned my post in my current company so it was the perfect timing for a getaway. Call it ironic. Last year around the same time I had a vacation to Krabi Thailand before joining the bank and this year, a few days after resigning, I was heading again to Thailand. Hahah. I’ll be explaining more on that in my later post.

So rendezvous kat KL Sentral. Senang. Aku, Along and Dila met up there while Wazir lak g LCCT terus. So kami bungkuihler our lunch, Burger King kat Sentral to avoid expensive meal kat LCCT. Then hopped to one of the bus to LCCT. Oh my God. Worst bus trip ever I took. Sakit leher and belakang. Dunno why but maybe I got used to taking ERL already. Selesa, cepat and x himpit2. X kisahler kena bayar a couple of ringgit more but yang penting, selesa.

Inilah aje beg aku. Barang x banyak mana pon. Sebelom g LCCT, tapau Burger King. Nyum2.

Wrap bag kalo nak selamatkan luggage anda. Aku lak x heran pon nak balut. Xde barang berharga pon. Hehe

The girls took time tuk wrap their bags. Cost only RM10. The check-in was smooth. And that was only because we queued on the regular check-in lane. Turns out, those who did web-checkin need to queue in a different counter and may I add, took longer time because the queue were long. I don’t know. I don’t think web check in is efficient. But be warned guys. In LCCT, they already implement the hand luggage weighing. So if your carry on above 7kg, need to pay RM45. Huhu. Good thing mine was only 6 kg.

Berposing time beratoq time nunggu turn check in bags. Better queue at regular queue dari queue for thos whom did web checkin already.

Lunch ngan Burger King pon jadilah. Meal gue, DoubleCheese Burger. McD's better!

The flight was almost full. Lots of local travelers than usual. Mat Saleh still made up most of the passengers. The flight attendant all were sexy Malay girls. Aiyo. Hmm.. Not an interaction from them because, well, we didn’t order any food. The flight took about one hour and 20 minutes. There was only a 10 minutes delay in the plane. Not so troubling because the plane was comfortable and had a better legroom that the one I took going to Bali. Aku yang katik ni pon komplen psl legroom, apelah nasib mat-mat saleh. Haha.

Sampailah kami di Phuket. Airport was bigger than LCCT. The immigration process took about 20-30 minutes because so many people lorh. After collected our baggage, kami klua dipanggil ulat2. Hiks. Kami nak carik taxi jek.

Sampailah kami di Phuket International Airport. Immigration process took a lot out of us. Letih. Huhu

Taxi Honda Civic that took us to our hotel. Bawak kami macam nak g racing. Berapa kali ntah nak dekat collide ngan other car. Gilos. Bawak gilos2 camtu pon aku nyenyak tido dalam keta coz letih bangat. Huhu.

Here’s a tip. Avoid taking minivan coz diaorg akan bawak korang ke travel2 agency before drop u to ur hotel. Bukanlah murah sgt pon. 150 bhat sekepala. We took taxi for 650 bht which about the same amount if divide by four. By all means, avoid using hotel’s airport transfer as well coz they charge usually at least 200bht more. Good thing i did my study before going to Phuket. Couldn't hurt to learn about the place you'll be going coz the ulat can be really persuasive. If you don't know anything, you might ended up paying more than what you really have to pay. Ok lah. To be continue to my next post..Later!

Phuket Holiday - Part 1

As promised, aku nak cite a fun thing that recently happened. Phuket trip! Yeah, yeah. Sronok habeh. Lagi best dari Krabi tapi still xleh challenge trip Bali. Hihi. Aku decide nak break down the post about the trip into two posts for a single day. Bukan apa. Semenjak dah ade kamera ni, maka banyak ler gambor tuk dipost skali. This is to avoid a single post jadi panjang and messy.

I guess I start with the preparation we did leading up to the date we boarded the plane on the 28th April.

The date:

I thought the date was perfect. It’s during mid of the year and after 4 month of non vacation period for me because my teammate was on her maternity leave. I had to be her backup for the entire period of time. Also, the month of Mar and Apr were without any holiday so it’s nice to take some time off. And all of my friends were on board. And we stretched the vacation even more. Before this, I g holiday dalam 3 malam je tapi for Phuket, we decided to go all the way to 5 nights. Biar puas!

The destination:

It was either Bali or Phuket. We also considered about China which was a bit of a stretch for our wallet. In the end chose Phuket pasal airfare cheaper, cuaca dah leh predict coz been there around the same time last year. Hotel pon seems to be much cheaper coz during May it’s a low season unlike Bali.

The flight:

Obviously, we first thought of AirAsia. Beli around 3,4 months earlier. Tetibe MAS pon wat offer. Pe lagi. Kami grab la. G naik AirAsia, balik naik MAS. Harga ticket like below:

KUL-HKT : AIRASIA – RM 175 including all tax, without luggage and food.

HKT-KUL : MAS – RM 250 all included

Very cheap gak ler! Nak merasa naik MAS gak. Haha. Worth my money la I thought.

The accommodation:

This was the second thing we thought of. And the most expensive. Before that tanya several hotel yang located kat NaiHarn Beach, Karon Beach, Kata Beach and Surin Beach. Really took my friend’s advice tuk stay away from Patong Beach but in the end, we booked kat situ gak. Finally, we booked thru booking.com and asiahotels.com for the rooms. Easier and cheaper. Just need to give them your credit card details. Trust me, it’s even a better bargain daripada bersempit2 kat Matta fair yang xdelah murah pon.

Deevana Patong Resort and Spa (4 stars) - 3 nights – RM 130 per standard room/night

Thavorn Beach Village and Spa (4 stars) – 2 nights - RM 150 per deluxe room/night

Tapi I kinda regret we spend so much for hotel coz frankly, you can easily find cheap and decent room that cost about RM50 per nite kat Phuket. But still, kami puas. Hotel ade pool and garden yang lawa, why not spend more.

OK la..Nanti aku sambung pasal the actual holiday plak along with pictures. Later!

Samsung Camera PL151 Review

I visited my blog today. And i thought, my God. Boringnya. Even the owner pon bored, apatah lagi tetamu-tetamu and dif-dif terhormat ye dak.. SO i decided tuk wat review. It's been a while i did any review for that matter. And this review is about my personal gadget, my awesomeness camera, Samsung PL151. Therefore i can put pictures to liven up my blog a little :)

Before i start, do you know camera comes with a front lcd now? Yes, how fast tech has gone. I remember back then i was still using Kodak to capture special occasion only. Anta kedai gambor tuk cuci and amek balik days later for twenty sumthg bux..Pricey lai. Now, not anymore. Back to the front LCD. YES! It's awesome!

Check the camera out. Gold colored and with a front lcd for your need. Other variance of colors include black, pink, red and indigo. This is like the mid range of the Samsung DualLCD PL Version that are sold in Malaysia currently. Lower version of this doesn't come with HD video recording while the better version has touchscreen as the main LCD.

A lot of people couldn't believe I bought it for only RM499. Yes! The published price is at RM899. Where did i get it? During MATTA fair a while ago aku sambar. Fotokem held a camera fair in PWTC as well. It also came with Samsung umbrella and 4gb memory card as gifts. Quite a bargain if you ask me.

Reason I bought it aside from the great deal? Besoknya abang aku kawen so aku belilah. And also, for travel trip this coming end of April. And also for the obvious, camwhoring made easier. HAhah. Couple shot pon senang. Goodbye to gambar senget! Keke.

What's great about the camera for the features is the child mode. It is a great feature to use if we want to capture toddler picture which can be a bit frustrating to get their attention. Wolla..Samsung came up with a product that plays cute clown cartoon on the front lcd while we parents can capture their cute moments. And the pictures also good too. With 5X zoom, 27 mm wide-angle lens and 12 megapixel, it's a perfect camera to capture anything, anytime and anywhere. Some other features are pretty standard if you ask me. The ladies also loves the camera because it has beauty mode. Apparently it can wipe out those zits and make your skin look more gebu. Hahah. It also produce video with HD quality. It captures sounds really good too. Kira tak pecah sound tu no matter how loud (even in clubs) like what my Samsung Galaxy S does. The pictures are really crisp with true colors. Some camera produce pictures which can be a bit washed out in color but not this one. Check few photos i took using the camera.

Love this picture. It captured the sun like a halo! :P

I forgot to use the macro mode here. Regardless, look how rich the colors are.

View pictures. It captures it perfectly.

Of coz, testing camwhoring guna front LCD under lowlight. X senget kan? Haha :P

Something of a Reminder To All When It Comes to Our Ego!

This is an improvised entry taken from http://www.davidwygant.com/blog/6-ways-your-ego-will-kill-your-relationship/1668/. Credit to the guy!

It's great that we have found our true love, but it’s equally critical to maintaining and continually improving a relationship once you’re already in it. Killing it is even easier! Nothing will kill a relationship more quickly than ego. Here are some points to look at what I mean.

1. Resist The Temptation To Defend Yourself

How many times you’ve fought with a significant other, and whenever things get a little heated yoAll you hear is you being attacked, and you immediately go into “defending yourself” mode. u start to defend yourself? Do you know that when you defend yourself in a fight, what’s really happening is your ego is defending itself.

At the same time it also means that you’ve stopped listening to the other person. If someone tells you that they don’t like the way you’ve been acting lately, why not hear them out instead of defending yourself? It will almost always create a MUCH better outcome.

From my past relationship, I took this road more often than not. Ask all my past girlfriends and they would all agree. It speaks for who i was and still am. I am worst when someone pass judgment on me and worst of all, they're right on the money. So I defended myself at all cause. Even with a hurtful comebacks. I would be great lawyer I supposed but I'll be a greater demon when it comes to a relationship. Huhu.

2.Your Ego Can Ruin Any Conversation

The truth is that no matter how much hope for a good conversation with your significant other, your ego is the one thing that will consistently ruin any conversation you’re about to have if you let it.

Let’s say your significant other is frustrated with you in one way or another and really needs to express something about that to you. How do you respond? If you let your ego get involved and you defend yourself, it means that you’re not listening to them.

In order to really listen to somebody, it’s uncomfortable. Sometimes your significant other has things that are really bothering them about which they want to talk to you, but which you would rather not hear. To maintain a great relationship, however, you can’t let your ego keep you from really listening.

2. Dropping The Ego Doesn’t Mean You Need To Change Who You Are

It can take a lot for you to drop the ego, really listen to your significant other and realize that they need you say something in a different way or understand how the way you communicate may make them feel a certain way. A lot of people misunderstand these kind of requests as being their significant other’s attempt to change them. It’s not.

They’re not trying to change you, they are trying to improve the way you communicate with each other. They are trying to get the two of you to be able to communicate better than you ever have in the past. Don’t let your ego get in the way. Embrace this!

3. Ego Causes Those 'Cakap Lepas' Which Are The Biggest Relationship Killers

Do you get frustrated when you’re having an argument with a significant other? Of course, we all do. When that happens, though, sometimes the ego will cause you to hurl 'Cakap Lepas' at the other person.

You’re feeling hurt, so you lash out and say something you know will make the other person hurt too. It was not only hurtful, but inevitably something stupid. By listening to your significant other, instead of lashing out from your ego, you can get through an argument without these low blows and they will be much more constructive (and not destructive to your relationship).

Often happen with my significant other. From dulu2 till now. I give you one HARMLESS example. While waiting for a traffic light with my girlfriend in her car, i mistakenly put the gear into Neutral instead of Drive. The car went backward for like 2 seconds and almost hit the car behind us because we were upwards the hillside. Lucky i managed to hit the brake but those 2 seconds i was sorta like dreaming. Then my gf yelled and my ego straight to defensive mode rather than admit to my mistake. You know what i said? Your car have a malfunction brake and the neutral gear didn't hold our car. How stupid was I?

So the next time you see your ego getting involved in your relationship, get rid of it! If you find yourself defending yourself or not allowing you to really listen, then you need to take a step back. Listen carefully to what’s really being said, and use it to create the most amazing relationship. If you're reading this and the ego get in the way to improve yourself, then get a shrink ASAP! :P

Blog Yang Kegersangan.

Waduh, waduh! Lama benar ditinggali blog gue ini..hahah

Bukan ape. JAdi malas coz wifi tadak and 3G lembab. Huhu. So much had happened and so much thing to share, dunno how to compile all of them. I will be back in a couple of days for more updates.

Sekarang ni just rasa nak luah satu bende. Kenape perempuan suka complicate things dengan silence treatment? Does it help in any way?

Yes, it's like the official way for women to channel what they feel to their spouse but why?

Hmm...Maybe mereka buat begini dengan harapan the guy gets it magically. Yes, sometime it works tapi often not so lucky.

This is how my mum and dad broke their marriage. They were mad about some little thing at first. Then came silence treatment. Maybe masing-masing ego so melarut sampailah well, they separated few years later. Leh bayang dak duk rumah sekali and x pernah bercakap dekat setahun lebih. The silence become so toxic, they couldn't even be in the same room even together. Now all good coz memasing dah bahagia dengan pasangan masing2. Alhamdulillah.

So lesson learnt, communicate! It's what makes relationship works! Be it in spoken words, sms, calls, email or Skype. If x puas hati about something, bawak ler berbincang bukan wat silence treatment hoping the guy gets it. It's great if the guy gets it but what if we dont? We guys become lost and the girl stay mad? Does it help in any way? Someone please explain. Huhu.

In my case, it's a dejavu all over again. Truth be told, even thought of what if i was single again. Seriously, i am too old too figure all these out again. And surprisingly, i was ready to accept. Pisang berbuah first time so bitter, i do not need it the second time around. So acceptance was the final answer. Nothing's wrong with that.
