Meronggeng KayEll di Hari Thaipusam

Cuti-cuti Malaysia. Ye lah. Time cuti ni eloklah jejalan makan angin. Destinasi : Kuala Lumpur. Hahah. Dah lama x jalan-jalan kat 'kampung' aku ni. Yelah. Since bawak keta setiap hari g keje, slalu jejalan area Damansara je. Asek One Utama jadi port lepak.

By the way, aku dah pindah balik ke umah KL. Rasa macam membazir sangat duduk kat Sungai Buluh dengan minyak and tol plus parking. Adeh. So beralihler umah KL balik. Rindu plak duduk umah Sungai Buluh. Miss my stepmom, my dad and my dearest sister, Balqis. Muah,lap u. BTW, Aishah Balqis sekarang kena chickenpox. Sian. Walaupon demam camtu but still hyper. Maintain.


Destinasi pertama, gym baru Fitness First kat Avenue K. Gym kat Maxis Center tu dah pindah sini. BTW, sape sangka depan KLCC ade bangunan hantu which is Avenue K. Kosong benar building ni. I think it was supposed to be a high end shopping centre but what it's ended being now? Empty. Even kat ground floor empty. Even medan MARA lagi meriah. Ahaks. Pelik gak kawasan strategik, sebelah lrt tapi xleh hidup. Maybe kawasan bekas kubur kot. Ahaks. Balik to the gym baru ni, best gak. Locker dia guna auto flash card system. X macam cawangan lain yang guna kunci biasa. Other than that, pretty much the same. Viwe much more better la and i think redup sikit banding kat Maxis Tower yang terang semacam. Sauna pon luas beb. Love it!

Pastu solat kat surau KLCC, singgah lintas je kat sini. Pelik tengok KFC kat KLCC close shop. Xleh hidup ke? To think situlah tempat aku confess aku suka kat ex aku. Kitaorang tutup buku kisah 'cinta aku', KFC pon aparently close business meh? hahah. Then kitaorg decide jalan g Bukit Bintang plak. Jalan kaki jek lalu area Aquaria.

Petronas and Maxis bergabung and made a perfect picture. Except for tiang lampu sebatang. :P


Pastu sampai ler kami kat Pavillon. Lama gak xmai sini. My ex tak berapa suka area sini so aku lepas rindu g sini lak. Hahah. So much things has changed. Dah jadi macam area Shibuya lak kat area sini. Love it. Depan PAvillon ade shopping centre baru. Fahrenheit88. X masuk pon. Tengok StarHill pon tengah renovate. Kat depan dia ade weird structure macam like i said, kat Tokyo. Dengan sakura jadi theme Chinese New Year kat Pavillon, memang persis aku ade kat Jepon. Tu tak campur lagi dengan ramai giler Asian faces. Arigato Mr. Roboto!! ahaks

Afterwards, g LowYat. Tempat wajib g kalo singgah BB. Tengok-tengok henset, beli cover enset, usha gadget baru. Dah abes, lapor lak. Beli donut glazed kat Dunkin Donuts. Singgit jek. Sedap lak tu.

Then menapak balik g KLCC and g kat keta. Decide dinner kat Kampung Baru. By the way, ex aku x suka gak makn kat Kampung Baru ni. So being my usual self, aku balik sini with a vengeance. Lama wor x makan sini. Tempat lepak aku dari kecik. Huhu. Miss u so damn much Kg Baru rats. Heheh. Pelepas rindu makan western kat HR Steak HOuse. I had the cowboy chicken chop. Nyum,nyum. Cheap summore. Cuma tu lah, penuh ya amat. Berebut gak tempat memasing. But this what makes Kampung Baru meriah.


Restoran ni penuh ngan manusia. Mana taknya. Sedap and berbaloi-baloi. Murahkan rezeki tuan punya restoran ni :)

Itu ajelah cerita jejalan aku time Thaipusam. It was a nice escape. Before this if want to go to these places with my ex, mesti no-no. Who knew jodoh aku ngan my 'kampung'-Kuala Lumpur lagi panjang. Heheh

ps: Have something to say but don't know how to say it.

A Better Day than What I Had Hope

Harini i took time tuk spend my time tuk release stress. Seriously aku sekarang down sangat dengan cinta yang x menjadi. Sakit hati sangat aku dibuang cam yesterday's garbage. by awek yang aku benar-benar cintai and syangi selama ni.

So aku plan g swimming kat gym. Kat fitness first Subang Jaya. Aku belari atas treadmill sepuas-puas hati aku tadi. Aku terbayang muka si dia tapi my anger pushed me to a greater limit. Aku belari atas treadmill lebih pantas and lama dari biasa untuk layan stress yang mengamuk dalam hati ni.

View swimming pool and air yang cukup menenangkan. Great for post-breakup.Heheh


Pastu aku went over to the pool. The view itself cukp bawa ketenangan kepada aku. I thought, nothing bad about being single. Tapi hati berkecamuk lagi, aku berenang selagi ada keupayaan badan. Tak disangka aku dapat berenang banyak laps dari biasa and lebih pantas even.

Tanpa aku sedari, hati aku makin terubat. Hati aku makin redha dengan keputusan sebelah tangan bekas kekasih aku. Aku sedar yang xde maknanya aku nak paksa and mengajar balik Cinta 101 kat dia yang dah xde hati kat aku. So aku reward myself. Aku reward my body after support hati aku yang tengah marah dan kecewa ni. Bayangkanlah hebat benar badan aku work out today nak catchup dengan hati yang parah luka ni.Hahah.


So aku reward them with Chili's. Ngeh,ngeh. Check out what i had. My all time favorite, burger Oldtimer! Sungguh puas hokeyh. Walaupon aku x abes coz selera makan still kurang, seb baik ler boleh tapau. Thanks Chilli's for the great service :)
@ Chilli's. Still maintain ceria walaupon hati sungguh rsa empty. Food is the best medicine :)

What i had. Oldtimer with extra cheese. Tapi kurang selera, aku perabih fries jek. Burger tapau balik. Thanks to a very cute Chilli's waiter girl sebab melayan aku :)

Another Iftar, another recap post!!

Just a little recap for the past week, this certainly was one of the highlight. Well, for several obvious reason. First, i organized this little get-together from A to Z with some help from my friends as well. Secondly, i miss my friends after hadn't seen them in quite a while.

Planning this was quite a challenge. Nak headcount and kumpul orang satu hal, nak carik the spot berbuka was another. Overall, looking back it was a success coz everybody seems happy.Initially i had several choices. With last year makan Kenny Roger's, I thought why not tukar selera and go for Ramadan buffet this time. Enough with fast food and all. To me, bulan Ramadan makan fast sungguh x nikmat. So top choices were


Restoran Kunang-kunang, Gombak
-Very famous among KL folks. About rm50 per head.Actually aku konfius this restoran dengan restoran Tupai-Tupai kat Dewan Bahasa KL tu.Ahaks. Environment pon cambest. Ala pondok2 kampung.Nice!

Restoran Bora Ombak, Ampang
- Recommended by a friend. She went there several days prior. She said the place was nicely decorated with Bali Garden motives.I like the place instantly after read it had huge surau. RM 47++ per head.

Resoran Happy Four Season, Wangsa Maju
- This was a place I discovered myself after several hardwork from googling.HAd mixed feelings about this joint regarding their halal status and its Malayness. Not that i have anything against non-malay cooking malay food but authenticity if given option, one must not ignore.To my relief, i went to survey the place prior and saw a huge Halal sign outside. Alhamdulillah. Plus, only RM29.90 per head.
SO then my friend who was assisting me with creating the FB invite started to ask confirmity about the place, i knew i had to decide the lucky option and FAST!
Then i thought how some of my friends might had relunctlancy with paying over RM50 for mediaocre buffet,hence i went for the cheapest joint, Happy 4 Season. Although i thought this was more like a bold choice. i never regret those decision. However by this time only about 9 people had confirmed to come out of around 25 out of us. OK la.

So then the day finally arrived. However, i was running with cold time tu. Huhu. Gagahkan diri jugak la. I had booked the place for 12 people the day before so that off-day morning, me and my friend went shopping kat Jalan TAR.
Pikir time tu, that was the only time aku boleh jalan-jalan soping kat sana. ANy later dat I would be busy or Jln TAR itself would be swamped with people. Not my scene la so better shop early. Time tu jalan-jalan, beli la baju Melayu sepasang with butang baju. Sampin x beli lagi. What colour? Nanti i'll surpise le you guys. Clearly it is not my usual colour that i like
but somehow, i dare myself to buy it. With a matching sampin,
I think i can look like a handsome chap for once.Hihi.My friend on the other hand borong sampai 4,5 pasang baju for the whole family. Alangkah baiknya belanja family baju :)

Then kul 6.30, kitaorg kumpul kat restoran tu. By that time, Dila,Apit and wife already there. Thankfully we were assigned to the best table of the restaurant in the Summer section. Close to everything yet enough distance away from the grill smoke, outdoor and had a picture of a pristine beach to match. Not cluttered like inside the Spring section or upstairs in the Winter and Fall section. Even perasan got extra table assigned kat sebelah meja buffet which
terlampau menyemak if you ask me.

By 7.15, all of us had arrived with the exception of Latif and his girlfriend.Allahuakbar2x. Azan sudah. Sebelum tu aku dah amek pastries which were nice. Love the durian cream puff and mango hybrid cake. I dunno what the name was but it had a layer of cake and a mango jelly on top layer. NICE!!
By this time pon sume orang dah berebut amek sate and roast lamb. The line was long, the faces were anxious and i was hungry. No way i was gonna lined up for that. Amek nasik ler. The lauk were okay. Not spicy. Loved the shrimps. Manis :) And sedar yang ayam madu restoran ni dagingnya warna gelap. I seriously thought they were lamb tu but to my surprise, chiken only. Taste was okay regardless.
My friends loved the roast lamb. I gave a few pieces a try as well. Very nicely crisped to perfection.Could not eat much after my friends scared me by said if you feel pening, it's affecting your blood pressure. Tapi rasanya that headache from my cold but why take chances to be dead kan.Hahah.


Cuma a few drawbacks i need to highlight.
-Why lar xde air panas like tea or coffee.Even xde air suam. Air sejuk yang ade pon x sejuk mana once dia refill. Air apa tu pon saya x tau. Mcm air teh ais.
-surau a bit messy upstairs at the 3rd floor. I realized it was also the floor for the staff hostel with mattress and towels lying around.
-Ayam x berapa segar except for ayam masak merah tu. Sate also not very nice. Rasa macam x properly marinated.Or was it my stuffed nose from the cold.
-Kenape 'gerai' roti canai durian lepas 30 minit lepas berbuka baru nak bukak and berasap?

Few of the good.
-Friendly staff.
-Affordable ad accessable.
-Ample parking available.
-Nice spread of sweets and pastries.
-The shrimps!

Iftar : Hotel Armada.

Another Iftar, another recap post!

Salam. Actually saje nak include this buka puasa as one of my thread since this was one of the nicest one i had this year. Even sweeter my friends ajak and nak belanja. All i had to do was book for the place. So HOtel Armada ramadan buffet was our choice. The published price was RM65 which among the cheapest hotel buffet around Klang Valley so we thought, why not gave a try. Plus it was just located next door to the office. Another close hotel was PJ Hilton
but with being 5 star and all,over RM100.TErlampau mahal lah.

So aku booked la for 3. Cannot ajak ramai2 lah since orang nak belanja kan. Actually bukan aku mintak belanja. Diaorg ajak and then i said, kena g another day coz gaji x masuk lg. But they didnt mind kata nak belanja, one who was broke couldn't pass the offer la.Hahah.Tapi leceh jugak carik no telefon restoran hotel ni. Last-last call the front desk Hotel je tuk book.

For it just next door to the office, pukul 7 camtu baru kami gerak. We were placed near the pastries section and menghjung kat area dapur tu. But next to the huge window menghadap federal highway so for me kinda nice. Plus, it was a non-smoking section so good enough for me. Hate it kalo orang merokok kalo aku nak makan ni. Rasa nak sumbat rokok tu dalam mlut depa. Haha. Anti Rokok all the way nih!! ^_^ "|
Before waktu buka masuk, sempat gak ler kami amek pastries. The line sume weren't that long so baguslah. At the next table, a family of Chinese dah start mentekedarah while we were patiently waiting and looking at our plates. Hahah. Very insensitive if you ask me but who cares. Then masuk waktu, we ate all of pastries first. Very2 nice pastries and nice looking as well.
What doyou expect from a hotel kan. Presentation mestilah tip-top. A Pakistani friend of mine tried his tapai. Gulp. He said it tasted just like beer. I asked him you ever had beer before and he said yes. I was speechless coz mamat ni kuat sembahyang rasanya. mmm. No komen lah.The only beer i ever had was barican.Yes, taste the same. Got that strong tangy taste in tapai. Tapi they were really strong tapai la.
Sakit tekak makan.

Then after that, we went solat kat 4th floor.Came back with the revenge.Hahah. Sampai2 masing2 grabbed our plates and amek main course. Aku amek ikan keli and pari bakar kat luar, amek nasik and for the sake of trying, amek oysters.Try oysters, wow. Sedap siyot!Xde rasa hanyir like i thought walaupon x dimasak. FAjin and Farouk however xmau try. Takut.Hahah.Fajin plak tercarik2 sate tapi x jumpa so we assumed dah abes. Rupa-rupanya stall sate terlindung kat belakang pokok so we didn't try it.
Yelah, dah bayor and balik baru perasan. Huhu. Sedih.Kami x sempat makan and rasa semua coz we were full.Tapi sempat gak aku menggatal amek sushi sebelum nak balik. Uwek. Termuntah balik.Not the hotel's fault coz memang aku x suka sushi. Stay sampai kul 9 kat sana pon x dapat perabih rasa semua since perut already full. Overall, very good spread and affordable. The bill came, around RM74 including tax. Kesian and thankful at the same time, i offered my friend to cover the tax coz the tax alone cost around RM25.

Positive:
- Pastries,pastries,pastries. So many choices. The cheesecake was heavenly made!And their puding roti, Fajin love it so damn much dia marah aku amek from his plate and asked me to grab my own. Hogging much?Hahah
- Surau cukup besar.
- Affordable! Even got fresh oysters which i loved!
- Diaorang divide their customer to smoking and non-smoking.
- Makanan sentiasa di top-up by the patrons yang always klua masuk dapur. Kesian tengok diaorg x done makan.
- Makanan terlampau2 banyak sampai x menang perut nak even rasa semua.
- Ice-cream best!Sprinkles included. Tapi klaka tgk my friends mati2 percaya aiskrim keladi tu perasa anggur. Then asked, why lor grape taste like this?hahah. Itu yam la my fellow friends.Hikhik.

Negative:
- Nasik and lauk x best. Ini lauk yang aku remember la. Sayur campur, another type of sayur campur, masak lemak, pedal sambal,ayam masak merah,ikan haruan steam,kari kepala ikan which aku x try coz horror tgk kepala ikan besar.UIKS!! Bagi aku itu semua makanan orang2 tua with the exception of ayam masak merah.Maybe ramai Datuk2 yang makan sini so kena ikut selera diaorg.Hahah.X kena ngan selera aku la.
- Sate and kambing tersorok belakang pokok.Why lor?
- Inside the place was hard to get around coz the table and chair disusun terlampau rapat between each other.
- Walapon got its own designated stall, the teh tarik was not nice. Just so-so.
- Xde entertainment macam kebanyakkan hotel. Maybe diaorg cut cost through this but why not pasang radio,tv or something kan.


Sidenote: Merasa gak berbuka puasa ngan member2 ofis walaupon among ourselves only Indian and Pakistani. Ajak2 yang melayu berbuka skali diaorg cam x interested jek. Kenapa ntah geng2 melayu xmo get together tuk buka sekali. Are we divided? Dunno la.Hope not.


Current mood : Tengah dengar lagu raya Kepulangan Anakku by Aman Shah.. Kalo dengar lagu ni mesti miss my parents. Sejak sebelum puasa x jumpa.HUHUH.Kalo motor ni road tax x mati lama dah gi rumah depa. Xpelah.Lagi terasa pagi raya nanti jumpa diaorg

Another weekend, another post!

It's been a while since my last post.
Not because nothing much happened but i just couldn't find the interest to write.
Maybe boredom took over my body so i was hanging out at my friend's place than spending time on my own.
Could not bare sitting at my own cubicle alone.Huhu.
So i thought i should do few recaps while i wasn't posting several days ago


Wednesday

Sembang-sembang ler ngan my colleague ni. He's moving to a new company it seems. And he'll b leaving us next month.
He will leave a week before the starting month of October where he will be working in the new place from then on.
Tanya lah dia what he will be doing during a week before he starts the new job. He said he didn't know yet. Maybe jalan-jalan.
MMM. Which reminds me of the week before i start my job kat Scope.

Then aku bukak cite penah g Krabi. He said he went there and the place for him wasn't nice compared to the islands we have here in Malaysia.Hahah. We share something in common apparently.
He said he went there backpacking all the way from Penang by bus.
Quite an adventurous and may i say ambitious trip to backpack in a non-english speaking land.
He went for 9-10 days along with his wife tapi bajet sama ngan what i've spent kat Krabi for 4 days only.
Dahla dapat g Phuket, Phra Nang, Krabi and few other places as well.
Aku plak dapat g Krabi jek. Itupon bandar Ao- Nang kat Krabi onli.
Lenkali nak backpack la instead of flying. Airfare could be spent on other things more beneficial it seems.
Terpikir lak a few laces in mind for bacpacking

Thailand : Phuket,Bangkok, Koh Samui,etc
China : Beijing, Taijin and Shanghai
Korea : Seoul and Jeju

Better start saving now for my first backpack trip.

Thursday

On this day, berbuka ngan member. Actually memang time ni xtau lagi mana port nak buka. One of my friend nak makan fastfood.
Now i have nothing against fast foof tapi x rasa semangat Ramadan kalo makan Kenny Rogers', KFC sume tu.
Makan pon just nak kasi kenyang tapi nikmat Ramadan x terasa makan fast food.
Ntahla. Selera completely bertukar sekarang ni time bulan puasa.
Orang kata time ni lah kita jalan-alan carik makan. HIk-hik. Maybe just me apparently.Last2 kitaorg decide g Kampung Baru.
Kalo decide Kg. Baru tu boleh agakler sapa punya decision. Aku ler..Hakhak.So we all randezvous kat LRT Taman Jaya. Gerak kul 6 so memang sesak la coz peak hour. M friends ang slalu sok nek keta macam kejutan budaya plak padahal aku ilek je coz dah biasa hari2 naik LRT bersesak.Terus bad mood depa2 tuh. X rock langsung. Ahaks!

Sampai Kg. Baru the streets were lively ngan bazar ramadan. memang first time g bazar sini. SUrpirisingl walaupon in the middle ok KL, harga still standed and some even cheaper. I would say Shah Alam remains the costliest when it comes to Bazar Ramadan that i've been to.Sampai sana x decide lagi nak makan kat joint mana. Aku in the mood for malay food as always. Member2 aku nak mkan western. So mengalah ler. G la restoran koboi tuh. By the time we got there the place was almost full with only several tables available. Good thing we came like 20 minutes earl. AFter placed our order, i was in the mood tuk jalan2 kat Bazar. Yelah.Member2 bad mood so nak g tempat meriah sikit.Jalan2 belilah several kuih.

Sampai2 our order still x sampai while time berbuka lagi 5 minutes.DAh nak masuk air baru samapi but food still x sampai. So kitaorg pekena air dulu with complimentary kurma.After several minutes after buka barulah order kami sampai. Aku order Chicken Chop Cowboy. Sedap2.Surprisingly still within my RM10 bajet. Memang puas!!

Current Mood : Terinigin sangat g gym balik. Badan rasa macam x pejal dah. Ahahks!

Rambling Rabu!!

Another Wednesday, another post!

Nak share kat sini sikit. Few days ago hujan lebat. This was after work lah. After sampai kat stesen Jelatek, decide nak g bazaar Ramadan kat pasar Datuk Keramat walaupon hujan. So gua redah ajelah. By that time dah pukul 7.10 kot. So barely had 20 minutes till the time tuk buka puasa. During that time, kat situ x ramai orang dah. Yelah, with hujan ngan time berbuka nak masuk. So basically I stepped into a goldmine. Every stall I went give good deals. Harga runtuh mcm langit nak runtuh. Harga x runtuh pon dapat extra freebies. And sume dah dok terjerit-jerit for leftovers sale. Don’t you just love it! Tahun lepas I went to Jalan TAR time last minit camni oso got so many good deals.

Balik umah, tengok2 my brother banyak dah beli lauk-pauk and kuih bagai..MMM. What a waste. One of my bro beli ayam masak kapitan kot. Aku xtau masak ape tuh. Abg lagi satu plak beli ayam sambal ngan ikan bilis sambal. Looked delish. Aku plak beli ayam percik. Aiyo. Being a famous kuih among us, karipap plak sampai dekat dua pinggan. I bought 6 pieces and my bros bought 6 as well. A dozen karipap for the headcount of 3. Nice!

Makan-makan, aku rasa lah ayam sambal abang aku beli tu. Ya ampun! X sedap langsung. I dunno what it tasted like. Nampak macam sambal tapi rasa macam a rat fall into it. And then makan ikan bilis sambal tu plak. Much worse. Ikan bilis tu x masak sangat so u can imagine the horrifying taste. And sambal tu plak rasa macam sambal ayam tadi only much worse coz dah bercampur dengan rasa ikan bilis undercooked tu. Terfikir, kenapelah ade orang yang still berani bukak gerai kalo masak pon x reti. Yang tau nak carik duit cepat je. Aku nak gak tau mana abang aku beli lauk-lauk tu tapi kalo tanya kang sound ungrateful plak dah makan lauk dia beli. MMM.

This is why I hate going to bazaar Ramadan. Kalo gerai-gerai yang dah established and saban tahun meniaga ok lah. Orang dah tau baik buruk rasa and harga. Ini yang baru bukak and berangan nak buat duit instant tapi meniaga lauk cam sial apa kes? Ini baru rasa lauk x sedap. X campor lagi kes harga mencekik or jual lauk-lauk basi.Aiyo.

So melayu-melayu yang beranagn nak kaya cepat ni kenalah tau prinsip meniaga. Kena pandai ambik hati pelanggan. Jangan jual makanan yang ada rupa makanan sedap tapi bila makan, Ya Allah. Kucing pon x mau makan. Ntahlah. Aku rasa awal-awal Ramadan bolehlah dia jual lauk-lauk buruk macam ni. Tapi bila orang dah tau, mesti x terjual lauk-lauk dia.

Mingguan Ramadan

Another Monday, another new post

It’s freakin’ Monday. NO!! Rasa macam the weekend aritu passing by like a bullet train. Nothing much happened during weekend. Could’t not even went online. Ngan puasa ni, nak g gym pon pk banyak kali. Last-last x pergi.

So on Saturday just duk umah and wat marathon. Tapi marathon ni x baker lemak lor. Marathon tengok tv series. Aku balun laptop adik aku and watched Grey’s Anatomy, Glee and a few movies in there. Also took time g Tesco. Lama benar x jejak kaki kat Tesco Ampang ni. Lately slalu g Carrefour or Jusco je but since bajet kering, Tesco was the better option walaupon jauh sikit. Ok ler. Beli taters, ayam sekoq, nugget, fries, etc..Total,RM 25 only. I am so good with shopping groceries coz it’s totally within my budget. Only took goods yang tgh sale. Sebotol cili sos Life mid-size only 2.35 so I grabbed 2. Ramly burger patties only 2.95 so I took one. Beli ikan keli 5 ekor baru 3.50. OMG.. Slalu beli lauk ikan keli sekor je dah 3 ringgit…Murahnya Tesco. After balik, goring ikan keli masak sambal cili api.. Waa. My favourite tu. Masak 5 ekor tu and simpan lauk tu wat stok for 5 days.HAha.. Operasi saving benar nih.

Sunday, nothing much either. Tibe-tibe my friend ajak klua. Katanya nak g Jalan TAR. So I went. Jalan TAR xde apa yang berubah. Same like last year. Baju raya, kuih raya (amat kurang berbanding orang jual baju). Crowd pon x ramai sangat. Maybe orang lagi prefer g malam. Not me la. G malam gamaknya kena tolak-tolak, dalam hati sumpah seranah. Not a good mood in Ramadan. Ada hikmah jugak malam-malam disunatkan terawih. Heheh. After stayed there for an hour, started to feel bored tengok kain. Huhuh. Nak cuci mata tengok makanan, aiyo, x banyak pulak stall makan2 kat Jalan TAR. And then my friend ajak g Damansara. Maybe dia dah lama x g sana. Saya x kisah sangat ler. Asalkan x klua duit. HAkhak.

So sampai Damansara after a few minutes later. Jalan2 carik port berbuka, aish sume ffully booked. So we decided tuk grab a few light munch kat Ikea jek. Lama x merasa karipap and hotdog Ikea. Not a bad buka puasa la. After solat maghrib, baru kami carik port dinner. Time nip on still xleh nak decide. Last2 just settle kat Kenny Rogers. Aiyo. Muak ler. Bertambah kuat la my newfound theory yang my stomach is getting smaller coz can’t fit so much amount of food mcm dulu. HUHU.After that, went back.

From that outing, not so bad. At least I have found where to shop for my Raya. Clearly, I much more prefer to shop kat damansara instead of Jalan TAR. HAha. Looks like same case like last year la. G jalan TAR x beli ape, tengok2 shop kat Ikano. HMMM..

First Day of Ramadan

New Ramadan month, new posting lor !

Lamanya x update sini. Rasanya dekat 5,6 hari gak lah..

Well,it’s been a slow week for me. Work-wise,not much..So most of the time I've been practicing my UNIX skill which is getting sharper everyday..YAHOO. Then, family. Slow jugak lah. Berbuka puasa pon xmeriah kat rumah keramat ni. Miss my days kat rumah Sg. Buluh or kat Arau dulu. Much more meriah. Now,nak masak pon jadi penyegan coz bukak peti ais, xde bahan. Kalao aku ade spare bajet aku bulih je beli groceries and spend the portion of my time to cook tapi asek bukak ade ais beku jek..Memang makan sume Sdn Bhd la. Kadang2 nak makan depan abang aku pon segan coz here I am makan makanan tapau mewah2 tapi dia eating in makan nasik satu lauk with salad dia..Huhu.

In fact, first day of sahur sume dok makan roti, aku sorang jek yang makan roti banjo with my eggs. These eggs are mine coz low in cholesterol. A bit pricey so kena kedekut sikit. Huhu. So berasap satu umah tengok-tengok aku makan sorang jek. Yang lain makan pure roti kering. Ahax.. Sorilah bros. If you want me to cook, stocked up the fridge dulu. :P

And then, another problem is office hour. A lot of my friends time bulan puasa keje from 8-4.30 but us being the minority here, we takut nak balik awal. Plus, there’s no any policy states that we can go home early. So first day of fasting, aku balik pukul 6.30 and sampai Jelatek pukul 7. Seb baik time tu cukup-cukup untuk me went to bazaar ramadhan kat pasar dato’ keramat. Malas menapau kuih which to me amatlah membazir plus fattening so I decided tuk tapau individual nasik n lauk, gerai Arau style!! Haha.

Ok lah. Nasik lebih + ikan keli + bergedil baru 5 ringgit. Daripada aku beli lauk yang kena share2, agak-agak kena spend double which I cannot afford right now. Currently, bajet RM10 only per day. So far, so good. And then, also tapau ABC RM2 which was too sweet for my taste. Ais sikit tapi susu pekat buh banyak. Memang kencing manis ler kalo minum tiap hari. Ade duit lebih RM3 aku decide beli roti canai 2 keping tuk sahur for Rm1.60. Not so bad this RM10 per day thing. Kena pandai carik port yang sedap and murah ler. But definitely bukan dengan soping berplastik2 dekat bazaar Ramadan. I decide not to do that anymore this year coz x percaya ngan peniaga2 ni sgt dah. Dulu salalu sangat makan lauk yang x sedap or nak basi tapi mahal x ingat. Beli kat bazar ramdan cilakak ni lah..Oopps. Tercarut,potong brp markah ni.huhuh

Boikot Old Town Kopitiam

Another opinion, another new posting.

Have you guys heard the news? Ala pasal Old Town Kopitiam. Apparently they are busted in the case of forging their halal license, kes kaki katak dalam mee and etc. That’s only to name a few and God knows what happen in their kitchen.

So in my book, Oldtown dah jatuh menjadi status Syubhah. So I am not gonna step my foot in any of their branch ever again. Kalo nak ber-wifi, I’d rather go to McD or KFC. Kalo nak ajak2 lepak, please jangan ajak g Oldtown okeh.

Tolong ler. Aku memang x suka Oldtown neh. Sebenarnya aku memang x suka semua kopitiam dah. They serve small portion food with a modest taste and charge you premium for their modern decorations apparently. But then my ex dragged me trying the place. She liked the place which bothered me. She said she liked their roti baker and their coffee. Not to brag but I can make the same roti baker for free and not charging you 2 ringgit for it. Are you crazy? RM1 for a piece of stupid bread? Figure out the secret. They use a good bread, toast it, layer up with the good kaya along with the premium margarine. TADA!!! Then their coffee is too strong. Not my cup of tea. Define ironic! Heheh

But I did like their milk tea. That’s about it. But I think I can make the same tea. The secret, pour some evaporated milk( a bit costly) instead of sweetened condensed milk. No wonder I like it coz it provides this not-so-sweet taste but yet very milky. Too bad I know their secret the first time I had that drink. But not yet tried at home. HIHI.

But what wonder me the most is how ignorant they are about Muslim sensitivity. I am talking about a local company here and not foreign company so they should know better how to treat their muslim customer. You tampal your halal sign besar-besar but apparently their halal sign is not recognized by JAKIM. Then this news about their Jinjang branch was closed because all this time they were using ayam yang x disembelih mengikut syarak. Aiyo. That should be the focal point for all fellow muslim to ditch OldTown Kopitiam. How dare diaorang permainkan sensitivity orang MAJORITI Malaysia.

To make matter worst, they did nothing about this. No proper action was taken, no press release and not even an apology posted in their website. How ignorant can they be? So be it. They do not care about their Muslim customer then let’s us not go to OldTown Café anymore.

I am not gonna emphasize how OldTown Kopitiam management do not even allow Malay Muslim to buy their franchise even though you come up with the money needed and a great location. Is that racist? I don’t know. But is that questionable? Here I am asking so what’s the holdup? DON’T GO TO OLDTOWN KOPITIAM ANYMORE! Kalo dah gigih sangat nak bergaya macam Melayu Urban, I suggest you to go to Starbucks. Apparently they are now properly halal certified by Jakim. Congrats to the international company like this for being alert on the local sensitivity. The same does not go to our local company like OldTown. WTF? Darah daging woit. Jangan dibuat main-main.

Current mood : Boring ler tadak keje kat office neh. Aiyoh!! And tibe-tibe teringin makan Big Apple. Seb baik halal certified.

Hello and a bright new day it is..
Actually,as i'm writing this post, we muslim were celebrating our Aidiladha a couple of days back. So my tummy not feeling really well. You know with us being Minang and all. Our rendang are spicy. Tang nak masuk merah padam tersiksa, tang dalam perut panas membara, nak klua lak toksah cakap ler..LOL


Speaking of food, i did mention my family owns a couple of restaurants and about to open a new branch near MMU Melaka. Our first branch being near Mydin Melaka.
